I received a letter back from one of the soldiers from the office yesterday.

Dear Aragon High School Peace Club
Your cards brought a huge smile to everyone’s face here at the hospital. Your inspirational efforts were just what an injured soldier needed. I was impressed by your hard work and patriotism in thinking of our troops here in Baghdad. The best medicine in the world is kindness like yours. You should be proud, because your cards made a huge difference in a soldier’s life today.

Our Cards for Soldiers drive in December 2006 was a tremendous success, with about 90 cards made by students going to about 45 soldiers and handed out to their fellow soldiers. I look forward to us having an even more successful drive next year. Thanks again also to the Leadership class who helped us out by providing supplies, volunteers, and postage for the drive.
