Due to an action taking place by the Teachers Union, all teachers will be closing their doors at lunch this week. Therefore, to respect this action, Wednesday’s Peace Club meeting has been canceled, and Friday’s Club Fair will be postponed (please inform presidents and members of your other clubs about this!). It has not been determined yet if our counter recruitment next Wednesday will still occur or not; more info on that will be published as the date gets closer.
I highly recommend everyone to attend the school board meeting this Thursday, the 21st, at 6 PM at the SMART Center (around the corner from San Mateo High School at the corner of Poplar and Humboldt). At this meeting, the Board of Trustees will be considering the proposed cuts in our programs and our teachers. I encourage anyone who is able to to come and speak out!
